Old Pine Tree

There was a song sung by Johnny Horton about an old pine tree that watched over him where his mother died giving birth to him and growing up he climbed it high with no fear. I then as an adult finds out he's dying of cancer. Goes back to buy the tree to find out it's cut down. Saddened he goes to funeral home and while checking caskets hears a whisper saying you belong to me. Turns out the casket was made from the tree. called old pine tree. Only found it on a hits album one time it was white had abt 25 or so hits at a truck stop but didn't have money to buy it.

Stumpy, I have Johnny Horton's complete works, and he *never* recorded that song. However, Red Sovine did.
